Heading

Heading refers to the direction that the helicopter's nose is pointing. A helicopter of course doesn't need to fly in the direction that it's pointing, but it is more efficient when it does so.
The helicopter's heading is controlled via the anti-torque control system, usually assisted by an electronic gyro.
