Talk:Throttle hold

For a Blade 400:

The information on this page is mixed up and dangerous. The settings given showing the same speed setting on all positions of the the throttle should only be set for "idle up". The normal throttle setting should start from zero and it should be at that position and the "throttle hold" off when the helicopter battery is connected and allowed to arm. The "throttle hold" can then be turned on to eliminate accidental starting of the motor.

If the "throttle hold" is on when the the receiver arms then even with the throttle at minimum the motor can turn as soon as the "throttle hold" is turned off because of the slight difference between the two.

If the normal throttle setting was level as described then the helicopter would spin round violently as soon as the "throttle hold" was switched off - destroying something.
