Translational flight
From RC Helicopter Wiki
Helicopters are unusual in that they can fly while remaining stationary over the ground. The term translational flight is used to describe flying where the helicopter moves over the ground, as opposed to hovering, where the helicopter remains stationary over the ground. This distinction is useful as a helicopter is in reality flying as soon as the helicopter becomes light on the skids.
Translational flight can also refer to flight where translational lift has taken effect; not hovering or hover maneuvering.
